ABOUT TFI AEROSPACE
TFI is a world-leading producer of specialty fasteners, including male-threaded aerospace fasteners, T-bolts, and self-locking nuts. Our products are used across commercial and military aircraft applications as well as automotive, transportation, and industrial markets that demand consistent performance and dimensional precision.
HISTORY & EXPERIENCE
TFI Aerospace has been a specialist manufacturer of high-quality threaded fasteners since its founding in 1991. Originally established in Toronto, Ontario to produce aerospace standard bolts and screws, the company expanded into T-bolt production in 1992 and commercial T-bolts in 1994. In 2002, TFI moved into a purpose-built facility in Orangeville, Ontario, and in 2018 entered the aerospace nut market.
The company became part of PennAero Aerospace in 2021, strengthening its position within a global aerospace manufacturing platform.
Manufacturing & Testing Capabilities
TFI’s vertically integrated manufacturing environment includes advanced cold heading and thread rolling, nut forming, tapping, and in-house destructive, non-destructive, physical, and dimensional testing capabilities. Our environmentally controlled laboratory supports comprehensive analysis and documentation, with Statistical Process Control (SPC) applied across production processes.
Operating under AS9100:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 quality certifications, TFI supports consistent production control and traceable results for critical fastening applications.
CUSTOMERS & MARKETS
TFI supports a broad range of customer programs, serving OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, aerospace distributors, and high-volume industrial partners. Products are deployed in environments where structural integrity, compatibility with aerospace specifications, and repeatable mechanical performance are essential.
Our vertically integrated model — from engineering and fabrication through welding, insulation, NDT, and pressure testing — ensures traceability, quality control, and repeatable performance in critical pneumatic systems.
